underwhelming stay. the room needed attention.
loud plumbing thin walls
the hotel's location near the train station proved acceptable. it made arrival and departure easy.
the room felt quite dated. the plumbing made loud noises. the walls seemed thin so conversations in adjacent rooms were easily heard. this lack of soundproofing really detracted from any sense of tranquility.

a satisfactory stay
connecting rooms boxed breakfast small balcony limited selections
I secured connecting rooms. It was a bonus. the rooms had decent size and views. breakfast offered many options. the staff even prepared a boxed breakfast when i had to leave early.
My room felt dark. It lacked windows. the balcony area was small. there was only one comfortable chair, inadequate for two people. the selections in the rooftop restaurant seemed limited and overpriced too.

The breakfast included various items. I noticed fresh pastries were available each morning. The rooftop restaurant gave amazing views. The staff were very polite and catered to all needs. The location was central. It allowed easy access to main attractions. I liked the complimentary minibar. It was restocked every day.
The air conditioning did not seem to cool the room completely.

a mixed experience
lack of cold water nescafe refill
my stay had a couple of issues. the room had a distinct lack of cold water in the sink (i don't know why). the nescafe wasn't refilled (it's a small thing, i know, but still). these details impacted my overall satisfaction.

a nice stay!
duomo views room design kindness
The breakfast on the top floor offered fantastic duomo views every day. the room design impressed me, as did the kindness of everyone. the hotel has the best restaurant with iconic building views. I found the experience very nice.
the hotel hallways seemed in need of an upgrade. i noticed carpets with plaster due to workmen.

location was ok water pressure not so much
poor soundproofing rude staff
the location was close enough to the train station which was convenient
the water pressure in the shower barely dribbled out it took forever to rinse my hair and the hallway noise was constant people seemed to congregate right outside my door at all hours the walls really offered no soundproofing and the lack of sleep affected my whole trip finally some of the staff seemed aloof bordering on rude so that dampened my spirits too
